A tattoo that could not save Angelina’s marriage: photos of the visit of the ex-spouses to the Thai tattoo artist appeared on the network. There were only a few months left before the divorce …
Jolie has long been known for her passion for intricate body art and, as a teenager, managed to get 15 tattoos on her body. The love for tattoos continues!
In previously unpublished images, Angelina Jolie is involved in the tattooing process by former Thai monk Ajarn Noo Kanpai with her husband Brad Pitt in Sim Reap, Cambodia. The Hollywood actress specially flew to the country to meet the tattoo artist who tattooed their bodies with Pitt in February 2016.
During her visit last year, she got three new Sak Yant-style mystical tattoos on her back. This style is a unique trend in tattooing and contains geometric patterns, lines of holy Buddhist scriptures and the outlines of animals and birds.
For this ancient style, exclusively ancient equipment is used: bamboo sticks with steel needles tied in a bundle. The method of tattooing is considered particularly painful, but only this approach is needed to acquire the true meaning of Sak Yang.
Brad also got a Buddhist symbol tattooed on his left belly just months before the tragic divorce.
Oddly enough, the idea behind these Thai tattoos was to try to save a falling marriage through mysticism. Three new tattoos on Angelina’s back organically fit into the existing ones, among which there is an inscription: “Know your rights”, traditional Thai tiger and Cambodian scriptures. Along with the symbolic ligature, the new tattoos feature two ancient Buddhist Thai symbols and mantras, which are believed to provide protection to the wearer. In the intricate thin outline of the tattoo, the artist also put a tribute to the victims of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia.
Ajern Nu Kanpey has previously worked with Jolie, making in 2003 and 2004 a tiger on the actress’s back. The artist has also worked with a number of celebrities, including model Cara Delevingne and actress Michelle Rodriguez. The monk set up his studio in a temple not far from Bangkok.
Angelina Jolie is the director of the Netflix movie First, They Killed My Father. The mother of six children, the eldest of whom, Maddox, was adopted in 2002 from an orphanage in Battambang, allowed her film to be screened freely in Cambodia. The plot of the tape is based on Jolie’s own memories of the country.
Pitt and Angelina’s romance began during the filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, while Brad was still dating actress Jennifer Aniston. Today, the ex-couple is in an ongoing legal battle over the issue of child custody. The actor asks to share joint physical and legal custody with Jolie, who wants sole physical custody, and asks the father of the children to have a regulated time for communication.
In total, the actors have six children, of which three are adopted: Maddox (15 years old), Pax (13 years old) and Zakhara (12 years old), and three biological ones: Shiloh (10 years old) and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. The unpleasant story continues, the former spouses put forward more and more accusations against each other.
